Course Goal: To introduce entry level firefighters to the basic knowledge, skills, and
abilities as they relate to interior fire ground operations.
Description of Course: This course is designed to introduce new firefighters to interior fire ground operation SCBA, rescue, ventilation, fire suppression, salvage, protective systems, and firefighter survival. This is the fourth of four courses in the curriculum.

Course Cost: In-County: $85 Out of County: $125
Prerequisites: Exterior Fireground Support (ELEF), Hazardous Materials Operations (HMOJB) PLEASE NOTE… This is the 24-hour HazMat Operations program. A HazMat Ops Refresher certificate does NOT meet this requirement.
Minimum age: 18 years as of first day of class.
Student Equipment/Supply Needs: Pen/Pencil, Notebook; Firefighter’s Handbook (must remain in possession of the student throughout the entire course); Supported reference material and skill book (Must remain in possession of student at the end of the program); helmet, gloves, turnout coat, turnout pants, boots, protective hood, and protective eyewear (safety glasses or goggles), 15’ ½”(12mm) Static Kernmantle Rope, and self contained breathing apparatus. AND spare cylinder.
